December 19, 1937 - March 6, 2023
In loving memory ~
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Evelyn Jean Larratt of Red Deer, after a 7-year battle with cancer. Jean was born on December 19, 1937, alongside her twin brother Harold Boettger in Didsbury AB. She maintained several different jobs throughout her life, from greenhouses to selling clothing, shoes, and jewelry. All things she was passionate about. Yet arguably the most rewarding to her was, supporting her family in whichever way was needed. A truly loving, giving and selfless person to the very end, who loved to go camping and travel, which she did frequently. She loved spending time with her family, spoiling her grandchildren, and going for lunch with the girls. She was one of those people that never hesitated to give a helping hand to anyone, or complain about her problems, never wanting to burden others, even to the very end.
Jean will be dearly and fondly missed by her husband of 63 years Wayne; daughter Deb; grandchildren Mitchell (Dawn) and Lisa (Jake) Womacks; brother Arnold (Muriel) Boettger; sister Louise Balan as well as many other family members.
She is predeceased by her parents, Elmer and Agnes Boettger; her twin Harold (Blanche); sister and BIL Marilyn and George Welikoklad; son Gordon Larratt; BIL Norman Balan; BIL & SIL Harvey and Kathy Burrows.
Per Jean's request, there will be NO Service held.
The family would like to give a heartfelt thank you for the wonderful care she received from the staff at the Lacombe Care Facility as well as Dr. Katherine Atchison (RD) and Dr. Chu at the Tom Baker Cancer Clinic.
Memorial Donations can be made In Jean's honour at Stars Air Ambulance, a charity she respected and donated to often.
