Jean Lopeter passed away at the Red Deer Hospice on December 19, 2016 at the age of 90. She was predeceased by her husband Anthony (Tony). Jean was the loving mother of Brian (Bev), Brenda, Sandra (Dennis), Sheila (Bob). She will be dearly missed by her Granddaughters, Tracy, Meagan and Katelyn and Great Grandson, Devon, as well as her brother Christopher (Pauline) and cousin Elsie and their families.
Mom and Dad met in England during World War 2, after the war she travelled to Canada to marry Dad in 1948. Over the years they travelled west and finally settled in Red Deer in 1964.
Our mother’s passions in life were family, travel, shopping, and knitting. Mom was always ready to overfill a suitcase and set off on the next adventure. We often had troubles keeping up with her on the journey, because she wanted to do and see it all. Family always came first for Mom, we could always count on her unwavering love and support. She was and always will be the wind beneath our wings.
A celebration of Jean’s life will be held on Friday, December 30, 2016 at 2:00 at the Eventide Funeral Home, 4820-45th Street, Red Deer, Alberta.
If friends desire memorial donations in Jean Lopeter’s honor may be made directly to the charity of their choice.
