Jean
Jean Matthewson of Red Deer, passed away peacefully on April 8, 2012 at the age of 82. Jean was born on October 12, 1929 in Ponoka, Alberta. She was a special lady who lived life to its fullest. Her sense of humour, her wit and her determination endeared her to all who knew her. Her passions were poetry, travelling, Tommy Hunter, Red Deer Rebels, fishing by a still pond, shopping and socializing with her many friends. Jean's spirit will live on in the memories of those who knew her. She is survived by her siblings: Elizabeth Hague, of Castlegaar, B.C. and Alex Matthewson, of Penticton, B.C. She will also be sadly missed by her special caregivers Terry and Carol Lee of Lacombe, the caregivers at 26-28 Avery Street, Red Deer, and the many people who's lives she has touched. A Celebration of Jean's Life will be held at Eventide Funeral Chapel on Tuesday, April 17, 2012, at 10 a.m. Condolences may be forwarded to the family and friends by visiting
