Jeff is survived by his loving wife, Heather, (nee: Hall) and the joy of his life, Erik, their son. He leaves his loving mother, Elizabeth Strong and brothers, Happy and Miles Strong, along with their families. His aunts, cousins, nephews and nieces will fondly remember him. Jeff had so many amazing friends through Red Deer running community, along with his friends from Alix-Mac school, where Jeff was employed as a teacher. He touched so many by his strength of spirit and compassion.
Jeff taught at the Alix-Mac School in The Wolf Creek School Division since 1988. In 1999, began another "career" that brought him so much joy. After a diagnosis of Type 2 Diabetes, he started to walk for his health. In true "Jeff Style" walking turned to running, running turned to marathons. Ultra-marathons, triathlons and two Ironmen competitions. He was a mentor and a friend to so many. Jeff would want to be remembered with happiness; he would want us to strive, to challenge ourselves and to pass it on to others. Heather and Erik could not have asked for a better husband and father and that was his greatest achievement.
