FREEBORN

1960 - 2009

Mr. Jimmy "Shane" Freeborn of Red Deer passed away on Friday, November 27, 2009 at the age of 49 years. For the past year Shane fought very hard to recover from a brain aneurysm and to go home to his family. Our Lord saw him getting tired and gracefully took him home. Shane was so blessed to have his wife, Tina, by his side through his illness. She is his guardian angel. Shane grew up in Red Deer and has spent most of his life there. He will be forever remembered for his unique sense of humor, his amazing strength and love of life. His work overseas satisfied his love for travel, as he saw many countries. Shane loved camping and fishing, some of his favorite times were spent fishing in British Columbia with his buddy, Kim Zak. Shane leaves to mourn his wife, Tina and son, Christian Freeborn at home in Red Deer, as well as three grown children, two daughters, Michelle (Joe) Cox and Nicole Freeborn (Tyler), and a son, Matthew (Maija) Freeborn all of Red Deer. He will be sadly missed and forever remembered by his dad and mom, Jim and Gail Freeborn of Delburne, his brother, Shawn (Rochelle) Freeborn of Red Deer, his sisters, Shannon (Ron) Skoreyko and Cherry (Dwight) Baird of Lacombe, along with his grandmother, Iris Jenson of Red Deer. Shane was also blessed to have three grandchildren, Robbie, Cassandra, and River, many in-laws, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and very special friends. Shane's life was also truly enriched by the Filipino side of his family. Shane will be greeted in heaven by his grandpa, Art Jenson and his great - grandma, Lily Houge.
