BRIGDEN Joan Brigden of Red Deer passed away at Harmony Care Centre on Thursday September 28, 2006 at the age of 81 years. Joan was born in Brighton, England in 1925. In 1943 Joan married George Brigden in England and then moved to Canada in 1946 as a war bride. They resided in Calgary and later moved to Red Deer. For many years she worked as a receptionist at Parkland Pet Clinic. Joan was a very active with her family, work and loved taking care of her dogs; until the last three years she suffered from Alzheime's. She will lovingly be remembered by her daughter Jan (John) Strokappe and two grandchildren; Hank and Ben. She was predeceased by her husband George in 1988.
