LAMB Joan Patricia (nee Scott) 1934-2008 With deep sadness we announce the passing of Joan, peacefully on March 30, 2008. Her spirit will live on with those of us who loved her and will be forever missed by family and friends. She leaves to mourn, her daughter Dr. Patti Lamb of Edmonton, son Jim Lamb (Tammy Halko) of Bentley, her brother Lee (Velma) Scott of Bentley, her sister Jean Jardine of Three Hills, and brother Keith of Taber, her brother in law Brooks (Bernice) Lamb of Cochrane, and sister in law Betty Lamb of Balzac, as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Joan was predeceased by her husband Murray and her son, Don as well as her parents Art and Anne Scott. Joan was born in 1934 at Wetaskiwin. She attended Crossroads the country school in the County of Red Deer. She worked as a recorder at the Penhold Air Base and also for the Workman's Compensation Board in Edmonton, Alberta as a typist. Joan married Murray in 1954 at the Gaetz Memorial United Church in Red Deer, Alberta. They lived and raised their family in Calgary where they resided for twenty five years. Murray was a partner with his father and brothers in F.W. Lamb and Sons Construction Ltd. for many years. A memorial service will be held at Eventide Funeral Chapel, 4820-45 Street, Red Deer on Thursday, April 3, 2008 at 2:00 p.m. Special thanks are owed to Dr. R. Hulyk, Dr. J. Hopfner, Dr. C. Tarukandirwa and the staff at the Red Deer Cancer Clinic and Red Deer Regional Hospital Center Unit 32P, and especially to the loving, caring people at the Red Deer Hospice.
