Mrs. Joan Frances McKenzie of Edmonton, Alberta passed away at the Red Deer Regional Hospital Centre, Red Deer on Wednesday, June 4, 2014 at the age of 67 years. Joan will be lovingly remembered by her son, Russell McKenzie of Calgary, Alberta and daughter, Shelley (Mike) Walchuk and their children, Rebecca and Shanna, all of Edmonton, Alberta. She will also be sadly missed by her sisters, Marie (Joe) Hamilton of Red Deer, Elaine (Eldon) Wilton of Sylvan Lake and Sandra (Kevin) Cassidy of Collingwood, Ontario; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Joan was predeceased by her husband, George, an infant son, Peter-Paul and her parents, Lawrence and Elsie Letourneau. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Mary's Catholic Church, 6 McMillan Avenue, Red Deer, Alberta on Tuesday, June 10, 2014 at 1:30 p.m. with The Reverend Father Les Drewicki, Celebrant. Cremation entrusted to Parkland Funeral Home and Crematorium, 6287 - 67 A Street (Taylor Drive), Red Deer, Alberta.
