Mrs. Joan Wilson beloved wife, of Mr. Don Wilson of Innisfail, Alberta passed away peacefully at the Rosefield Care Centre, Innisfail, Alberta on Friday, November 6th, 2009 at the age of 83 years. Joan was born on December 31st, 1925 at Nottingham, England. Joan immigrated to Canada in 1946, along with her fellow warbrides. Joan will be sadly missed, but lovingly remembered by her husband Don, along with their seven children, Sylvia (Linda), Tina (Herb), Diane (Dick), Linda (Tom), Sandra (Jack), Julie (David), and Debbie, sixteen grandchildren, thirty-five great grandchildren, and a great-great grandchild. Joan is survived by three sisters, Pat (Bill), Gladys and Shelia. Joan was predeceased by two brothers, a sister, a grandson, and two great grandchildren. A memorial service will be held for Joan at Eventide Funeral Chapel, 4820 - 45th Street, Red Deer, Alberta, on Thursday, November 12th, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. Cremation entrusted to Central Alberta Crematorium Ltd., Red Deer, Alberta.
