Joey Issac Anhalt, beloved husband of Heather Anhalt, passed away peacefully at the Southwood Hospice on June 14, 2018, at the age of 35 years in Calgary, AB after a courageous battle with cancer. Joey was born in Kamloops, BC on February 4, 1983 and his family moved to Red Deer, AB in 1986. Joey was known for his kindness and generosity, his curious mind, as well as his inspirational hard working ethic.

Joey graduated with a Bachelor's of Design Degree in Industrial Design with distinction from the University of Alberta and a Diploma in Mechanical Design Technologies from SAIT. Joey's passion for design was evident in all the projects he involved himself in, including the business venture House & Object he and his brother Matthew created together. He loved gardening, the outdoors, music and travelling with Heather - one of their favourite places to was Austin, Texas. Joey loved spending time with family, Heather and their wonderful cat, Ninja.

Besides his loving wife, Joey is survived by his parents Frank and Elaine Anhalt of Red Deer, AB; three brothers, Joshua (Cheryl and children Ava, Jacob and Elijah), twin brother Matthew (Jennifer), Jan, Grandmother Theresa Howden (Ross) of Kamloops BC, Grandmother Hanna Anhalt of Kamloops, BC, Aunt Cathy Biagi (David and daughters Emily and Ana) of Kelowna, BC, and Aunt Rita Goodrich (sons Derrick and Nicholas) of Taber AB. Life long family friend, Uncle Rob Drummond (Rose) of Calgary, AB. Joey's in-laws Hugh and Toni Furber of Calgary, AB, sisters in-laws Leonie (children Jaiden and Thomas) and Julie (Sarah). Joey was predeceased by his Grandfather's James Goodrich, George Anhalt and his Uncle Wayne Goodrich.
