John
John Duda passed away in Red Deer on Tuesday, September 23, 2014 at the age of 97 years. John was predeceased by his parents; Thomas and Rozalia, three sisters and one brother. He is survived by his loving wife, Margaret, five children; Lyle (Trudy), Susan, Frank (Jackie), Dennis, and Anna, eleven grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. John was born in Ardley, Alberta on June 3, 1917. His family moved to Luskar for a bit while he was a young boy. They moved back to Delburne where John attended Delburne School until grade 6. At the young age of 12 years old, he began to farm west of Delburne where he established his life. He met his beloved wife Margaret in Delburne and they married at the United Church in Delburne, Alberta on August 30, 1958. John enjoyed farming for 85 years. For those who wish to pay their final respects to John, visitations will be held at Eventide Funeral Chapel, 4820-45 Street, Red Deer, on Monday, September 29, 2014 between the hours of 6:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m. A Funeral Service will be held at the Delburne Hall on Tuesday, September 30, 2014 at 1:00 p.m. with burial to follow.
