Garry passed away in Calgary hospital January 17, 2022. He was born in Calgary, Alberta on February 13, 1936. Garry is predeceased by his parents John & Hazel Fisher,and sister Carolyn. He is survived by his brothers Brett & Bob (wife Arlene), and his former wife Florence. He is also survived by daughters Debra, Pamela, Jacqueline, & Joni. Grandchildren Ashley, Nate, Jayna, Laura, Nicholas, Kathryn, Alexandra, and great grandchildren Layne, Jayce, & River, and various nieces & nephews. Garry lived in central Alberta most of his life working many years in the oilfield industry. He achieved success with his oilfield supply company and as a consultant. He spent years in the AA program and for a time, was a support to others who also suffered from alcoholism. For most of his life, he was a spiritual seeker and possessed a real desire for mental and emotional wellbeing. Unfortunately, through the years he suffered a greater degree ofmental illness and ended up living a mostly difficult, solitary life. Garry will be remembered for many qualities - his emotional expression, authenticity, and especially his sense of humor. We will see you on the other side Gar!
