John GRAHAM

June 29, 2005

GRAHAM John Aimer Graham died in the evening of Friday, June 24, 2005 at the age of 77 years after an honourable and happy life. He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Edith, two of their children Erin and Shawn (Wendy), grandson Jeff and many loving and loyal relations and friends. Their first son, John Scott, predeceased him in 1961. John was a lucky and happy man. He was the youngest of four children, and a cherished member of an extended farm family near Saskatoon. He was an ordinary man, dependable, loyal and perhaps a bit too trusting sometimes. He met his responsibilities to his family and his community. He was a member of the Appraisal Institute of Canada and had a reputation for integrity in his work. He was proud to be a long-time member of the Kiwanis Club. He loved golf, snowmobiling, good scotch, and a good laugh; smoking a pipe, (though he quit over twenty years ago), licorice all-sorts, good food and long drives. Most of all, he loved the people around him; Edith and their family, his nieces and nephews, his folks and his in-laws, and all the many cherished friends and associates he met and enjoyed over the years. A celebration of John’s life will be held from the Chapel of the Parkland Funeral Home and Crematorium, 6287 – 67A Street, Red Deer, AB on Wednesday, June 29, 2005 at 11 a.m.. Donations may be made in John’s name to the Heart and Stroke Foundation, 101-5208-53 Ave., Red Deer, Alberta T4P 5K2. Sympathies can be forwarded to the family at www.parklandfuneralhome.com. In living memory of the late John Aimer Graham, a tree will be planted in the Parkland Funeral Home and Crematorium Memorial Tree Park.
