With shattered hearts, we grieve the loss of our beloved Husband, Dad and Papa who went to sing with the Angels after a heroic battle with cancer, on Friday, July 18, 2014, in Red Deer, AB. John left to mourn, his wife of 36 years, Bonnie; four children: Lura (Curtis) Babcock, Rebekah (Jeremy) Sealock, Amy (David) Dumbleton and John (Melody) Hopkins; as well as eleven well-loved grandchildren. A Funeral Service will be held at Gaetz Memorial United Church, 4758 Ross Street, Red Deer, on Wednesday July 23, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. The family would like to express our deepest gratitude to the compassionate staff on Unit 32 of the Red Deer Regional Hospital. Memorial donations in John's name may be made directly to Pancreatic Cancer Canada, 30 Concourse Gate, Unit 27, Ottawa, Ontario, K2E 7V7.
