LEEDER, John
John passed away peacefully with family at his side at his second home is Sylvan Lake at the age of 84.
He is survived by his wife Mary Twedt of 7 years. He will be lovingly remembered by his four children Larry (Rosie) Leeder, Chris Zamora (Paul Starke), Brenda Bond (Gregg Brentnall) and Mark (Tara) Leeder.
Papa will also be fondly remembered by his four grandchildren Brooke, Jonathan (Brittany), Amanda, and Jamie who brought him endless hours of enjoyment.
John was predeceased by his wife of 53 years Fay Leeder in 2008. He was also predeceased by his parents and siblings.
John has a long and successful career with Alpha Milk Company starting in the lab in Red Deer in 1956 and retiring as Regional Manager, Calgary in 1994. John was a strong mentor for his colleagues as well as his children, friends and family.
John will be remembered for his kindness, generosity, quick wit and his love for western music and of course ice cream.
Funeral Services will be held at Sylvan Lake Legion, Branch 212, 4916 - 50th Avenue, Sylvan Lake, Alberta on Saturday, June 9 at 11 am.
