April 23, 1957 - August 11, 2021
It is with deep sorrow we announce the sudden passing of John "Johnny, Uncle Big John, Papa P" Planaden at the age of 64.
He is survived by his loving wife of 36 years Sandra, children Shaun (Lindsey) and Stacey (Paul), grandchildren Hadley, Natalie and Sawyer, brother Gordon and sister Connie.
John and Sandra started their own company (Independent Control Services Ltd) in 1985 which flourished into a successful company they were able to pass down to both of their children. It brought John great pride and happiness to pass down the reins.
John and Sandra spent their winters at their house in Phoenix, AZ and their summers in Sicamous, BC. When they were back in Red Deer they enjoyed spending time with their cherished friends, family and grandchildren.
John's infectious smile and laugh will be missed by everyone.
Our family cannot thank the HEART (Hutterian Emergency Aquatic Response Team) team enough for all their efforts and support in the successful recovery of John.
