RAUCKMAN John Frank It is with great sadness that the family of John Frank Rauckman announce his passing in Red Deer on Saturday December 20, 2008 at the age of 82 years. John will be lovingly remembered by his beloved wife of 59 years Joy, his daughter Colleen (David) Hiatt of St. Albert, AB., as well as his 4 sons Les (Donna) Rauckman of Red Deer, Wayne Rauckman of Blackfalds AB, Jack (Donna) Rauckman of Muenster, SK., and William (Debra) Rauckman of Dickinson, North Dakota. John's memory will be forever cherished by his 13 grandchildren as well as his 13 great- grandchildren. He will be missed by his only brother William (Marj) Rauckman of Calgary, AB. John was predeceased by his parents Helen and Martin as well as his 3 sisters, Addie, Phyllis and Virginia. John was born July 29, 1926 in Viscount, SK. and was raised in Long Beach California. He served in WWII with the US Army. He moved to Canada after serving the USA where he met his loving wife Joy. They had a happy life of 59 years with their 5 children, travelling between Canada and the USA. In 1967 they settled in Viscount, SK., where John worked for Central Canada Potash until his retirement. During his retirement years, John and Joy spent many winters in the USA. They then made a move to Saskatoon, SK. finally making their home in Red Deer. As per John's wishes there will be no funeral service held, and interment will take place at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens in Saskatoon, SK. at a later date. Memorial donations in John's memory may be made to The Heart & Stroke Foundation #101, 5208 - 53 Avenue, Red Deer, AB. T4N 5K2.
