John "Ryan"
1935-2009
Mr. John "Ryan" Towers of Red Deer, Alberta passed away peacefully on Sunday, November 22nd, 2009 at the Bethany Collegeside after a long battle with Dementia. Ryan was 74 at the time of death, having been born in Calgary on November 2nd, 1935. Ryan and his family lived in both Calgary and Peace River, where he taught high school. Ryan enjoyed coaching many sports, especially football, and, while he was able, enjoyed gardening, fishing and photography. He was predeceased by his parents, Jack and Mary Towers. Ryan is survived by his wife of 47 Years, Pamela, of Red Deer; son, Adam (Kristie) of Canmore; daughter, Sally (Rick) Sybblis of Red Deer; grandchildren, Nathan and Rachel; and brother Richard of Calgary. A private family service will be held at a later date. Those wishing to remember Ryan may do so with a memorial donation to the Alberta Alzheimer's Society (10531 Kingsway Ave, Edmonton, AB.
