SCHRODERUS JOHN John Orvald Schroderus passed away suddenly on July 16, 2009 at the age of 79 years. John was born June 24, 1930 in Bingley, Alberta. He will be dearly missed by his loving wife of 55 years Lorraine of Leslieville, Alberta, his four children Karen Tolonen (Robin) of Red Deer, Alberta, Lorne Schroderus (Marilyn McDonell) of Leslieville, Alberta, Julie Schroderus of Eckville, Alberta, and Loralie Rowan (Russell Mottus) of Red Deer, Alberta and his four treasured grandchildren Ryan Tolonen and Courtney Tolonen (Vance Nolls) of Calgary, Alberta, Colton Rowan of Red Deer, Alberta, and Jessica Schroderus of Eckville, Alberta. John was predeceased by his parents, three brothers, and one sister in law. John is also survived by three brothers, Oliver, Eino (Lorraine), Terry (Lorna) of Rocky Mountain House, Alberta, one sister Teresa Thon (Al) of Joffre, Alberta, and sister-in-law Phyllis Schroderus of Leslieville, Alberta. John will be remembered for his love of creating things like his saw mill and wood splitter which he operated annually at the Leslieville Antique Days, his love of being with his family and friends, playing cards, and Saturday morning coffees at the Rocky Co-op. Funeral services will be held on July 22, 2009 at 2:00pm in the Leslieville Bethel Union Church.
