WILLIAMS, John Harry John Harry Williams passed away at the Red Deer Nursing Home on December 11th at the age of 84. Harry was born and raised in Clive, Alberta. He served in the Air Force during WW11. When he came back from WW11 he met his wife Betty. They moved to Edmonton, where Harry worked for companies like Traders Finance and Kordyban Transport and was very involved with Air Cadets. Harry moved to Berwyn, Alberta and took over ownership of the Berwyn Hotel. He continued on in the hotel/motel business in Galahad, Drumheller and Wainwright, where he also managed the Worthington #29 Legion. He then semi-retired to Red Deer where he worked for Sutton Group Realty. Harry was actively involved with the Royal Canadian Legion in all of the communities he lived. Harry is predeceased by his wife Betty, sisters, Doris, Margaret, Grace and Ruth. He is survived by his sister Jean, daughter Shannon, son Milton (Marianne) and seven grandchildren, Blake, Blaine, John, Andrew, Cordell, Daniel and James. A Memorial Service for the late John Harry Williams will be held at the Royal Canadian Legion Branch #35, 2810 Bremner Avenue, Red Deer, AB on Friday, December 17th, 2004 at 1:00 p.m. with Father Don Stein officiating. If friends so desire, memorial tributes can be directed to the Royal Canadian Legion Branch #35, 2810 Bremner Avenue, Red Deer, AB T4R 1M9 or the Alzheimer Society #220, 2323 - 32nd Avenue N.E., Calgary, AB T2E 6Z3.
