MCKINLEY Jollie Harold McKinley of Red Deer, Alberta passed away with his daughter, Cindy, son, John and son, Martin by his bed during the early hours of Thursday at the age of 84 years. Jollie was well known in the Central Alberta area as a businessman and restaurateur. He was predeceased by his loving wife and business partner, Mary, (also known as Joan) at Christmas 2004. Besides being well known as an owner, manager, and promoter of restaurants, he will be best remembered for his stories and his abilities to always bring a smile to your face. Jollie is lovingly remembered by his son Martin Rean McKinley of Red Deer and their daughter, Cindy Lou Hewson with her husband John of Red Deer. Also, left to mourn the loss of Jollie are his beloved triplet grandchildren; Rhett Walters and his partner, Sue of Red Deer, along with their son Brandon, Christine McWillis and her husband Bryan of Wainwright, Alberta along with their children, Cayj and Tyden also, Teresa Walters and her companion, James and their son Daylan of Grand Prairie, Alberta. Jollie is also survived by Martin’s two children in Victoria, Rean Jollie and Elisabeth Jessie and their mother, Brenda McKinley. Of the large McKinley clan, the only remaining sibling is his sister, Fern Woods of Oakland, California. A Memorial Service will be held at Red Deer Funeral Home (6150-67 Street) Monday, January 23, 2006 at 2:00 p.m. Donations are not requested by the family but Jollie would remind you to always treat your brother and neighbour with love. The Family would like to say a special thank you to Dr. Hulyk, who not only cared for Mom, Mary McKinley but Jollie as well, until their passing.
