JONES 1916 - 2007 Mrs. Mary Elizabeth Jones passed away peacefully at the Red Deer Nursing Home on Wednesday, January 10, 2007 at the age of 90 years. Mary was born on April 24, 1916 at Stalwart, Saskatchewan. She married her husband, Fred in 1935 and the couple were inseparable until Fred's passing. Mary and Fred enjoyed spending their time together dancing and camping at the Lakewood Golf & Country Club in Sylvan Lake. Mary was a loving and devoted mother, grandmother and great grandmother who was the very heart of her family. Her greatest joy was cooking and it's what she loved to do best. She also found great joy in her grandchildren and great grandchildren, whom she loved dearly. Mary is survived by her loving daughter, Norma and her husband, Clarence Schmidt of Red Deer; her two granddaughters, Mary-Ann and her husband, Jay Fulks and her great grandchildren, Alexis and Jori of Delta, British Columbia and her grand- daughter, Maureen Martel and her great grandson, Leslie of Red Deer. She will also be sadly missed by her brother, Donald (Hazel) Callahan of Nanton, Alberta and her sister, Mildred Weisbrod and her family, all of the Red Deer Area. Mary was predeceased by her loving husband, Fred in 2001, a daughter, Peggy in 1950 and three brothers, Harold, Kelly and Delmer Callahan. A Public Funeral Service will be held at the Salvation Army Church, 4837-54th Street, Red Deer, Alberta on Monday, January 15, 2007 at 1:00 p.m. Interment will follow at the Alto-Reste Cemetery, Red Deer, Alberta where Mary will be laid to rest with her beloved husband, Fred of sixty-five years. Memorial Donations in Mary's honour may be made directly to the Salvation Army Church, 4837-54th Street, Red Deer, Alberta, T4N 2G5.
