Joseph Small passed away peacefully in his sleep at home on October 20, 2014. The family takes comfort in knowing that he is now with his Saviour, Jesus Christ. Joe was born January 18, 1934 at the family farm in Radway, Alberta. Joe worked in the weather office at Rocky Mountain House from 1969 until his retirement in 1994, at which time he and his family moved to Red Deer. Joe is survived by his loving wife of 54 years, Gladys, and their children Chris (Melody), Melody (George), Andy (Maureen), Lorne, and Ernie (Marie); grandchildren: Jasmine (Alex), Stefanie (Justin), Rachelle (Chris), Dawn Marie, Brianna (Greg), Ryan, Matt, Rebecca, Janelle, Calvin, Josiah, Charles, Luke and Brenna; and great-grandchildren Kaeden, Kent, Desmond and Mya. He is also survived by his sisters Belle and Mary, and numerous nieces, nephews and friends. A Service of Remembrance will be held at the Streams Christian Church, 5350 - 46 Avenue (corner of 55 Street and 46 Avenue), Red Deer, Alberta, on Monday October 27, 2014 at 2:00 PM.
