KRUMINS, Josephine Josephine Krumins of Red Deer passed away at the Red Deer Regional Hospital on Thursday, June 24, 2004 at the age of 86 years. Josie was born in Riga, Latvia on February 16, 1918. She arrived in Edmonton in November of 1948. She was employed for two years as a domestic helper. Later she worked at Tip Top Tailor's in Edmonton. She married her beloved husband, Walter, in 1949 and moved to Red Deer, shortly after, daughter Margaret was born in 1952. Josie did janitorial work, sewed for many friends, and enjoyed her work in the sewing room at Michener Centre. She also loved to garden, cook, and learn new handicrafts. Josie loved the company of her friends. Her grandsons were her pride and joy, and her family was always her first priority. Josie was predeceased by her loving husband, Walter, parents; Janis and Anna, brother, Victor, and sister, Francesca. Left to morn her passing is her daughter, Margaret (Albert) Bush of Brandon, two grandsons; Jason and Jonathan of Brandon, two sisters; Marie and Anastasia both of Latvia, and one brother, Anton of Poland. A memorial service will be held at the Red Deer Funeral Home (6150 - 67 Street) on Wednesday, June 30, 2004 at 10:00 a.m. Condolences can be emailed to condolences@reddeerfuneralhome.com and will be forwarded directly to the family.
