CLARK Joyce Mary 1913 - 2009 Mrs. Joyce Mary Clark of Red Deer, Alberta passed away peacefully with her family by her side at the Bethany CollegeSide Care Centre on May 29th, 2009, at the age of 95 years. Joyce was born June 7th, 1913 in Calgary, AB. Joyce married David Mason in 1931; they had two sons, Ivan and Russell. They lived in Killarney, MB where they operated a service station and mail service. Joyce was widowed in 1942; she continued to operate the businesses and in 1946, she married Glen Hicks, a Killarney area farmer, who joined Joyce in operating the business. They had one daughter, Christina. Glen and Joyce sold the business interests and retired to Calgary in 1960; Glen passed away in 1970. In 1973, Joyce married Bill Clark and in 1975 they moved to Canoe, B.C. where they enjoyed many years in a nice retirement area; Bill passed away in 1990. Joyce continued to live in Canoe until 1999, when she moved to Red Deer to be near her family. In recent years, Joyce resided at the Bethany College Side, where she will be dearly missed by many friends. Joyce will be lovingly remembered by her two sons, Ivan Mason of Red Deer, AB and Russell Mason of Calgary, AB; daughter, Christina Sannes of Mahone Bay, NS, as well as 10 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild. Joyce was predeceased by her husband's: Bill Clark, Glen Hicks and David Mason; daughter-in-law, Carol Mason; great grandson, Josh Mason and grandson-in-law, Donald King. A Funeral Service for the late Joyce Clark will be held on Tuesday, June 2nd, 2009 at 2:00 p.m. at Red Deer Funeral Home (6150 - 67 Street Red Deer, AB) with Interment to follow at Alto-Reste Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, Donation may be made in Joyce's name to the Red Deer Bethany CollegeSide Care Centre, (99 College Circle, Red Deer, T4H 5H5).
