Joyce Irene McKellar of Red Deer, Alberta passed away peacefully on September 2, 2019 with her son Stuart by her side.
Irene will be remembered as a loving and caring wife, mother, grandmother, aunt and close friend to many.
Irene is survived by her sons: Scott (Wendy) and Stuart (Ilse); her beloved grandchildren: Alanna, Mark, Brendan, Clare and Anna; great grandchild James; sister Viola (Vic) and many nieces and nephews and their families. Irene was predeceased by her husband Neil and grandson Wesley.
Irene was from Ponoka, Alberta where she met and married Neil, settling in Calgary to raise their family. Neil and Irene retired to Sylvan Lake where they formed many friendships.
The family wishes to thank friends and Irene's many caregivers for their kindness.
Memorial donations in Irene's name may be made to a Charity of the donor's choice.
