It is with great sorrow that we announce the passing of Mrs. Karen Gail Thomas at The Hamlets at Red Deer, Alberta on Friday, July 9, 2021 at the age of 73 years. Karen will be lovingly remembered by her husband of fifty-one years, Rick and her three adored and cherished daughters, Audra Garnett and her daughters, Alisha, Caitlin and Brianna (Vincent); Ashlynne Thomas (Marc) and her daughters, Gillian and Aven; and Megan Emerson (Ryley) and her daughter, Makena and her son, Ryder; and her brother-in-law, Ron (Jane) Thomas and their families. She will also be dearly missed by her longtime friend, Audrey. We would like to send our love and thanks to the amazing staff at The Hamlets at Red Deer, who took care of Karen during her eighteen month stay. A Celebration of Karen's Life will be held at Rick and Karen's home on Saturday, August 7, 2021 from 1:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, if desired, Memorial Donations in Karen's honor may be made directly to the Alzheimer's Society of Alberta and Northwest Territories at www.alzheimer.ca.
