Karen passed away at Red Deer Regional Hospital on Monday February 17, 2014. Karen was born in Red Deer August 3 1952. Karen married Doug Hope February 16 1973. Karen leaves to mourn her loving husband of 41 years Doug Hope and their three children; Larry Hope, (Nicola) and his children Kyle, Adam, Emersen; Sherry Tremain (Vincent) and their children Ashley and Brandon; Teresa Hope(Danny) and her son Colton. She also leaves to mourn her loss is her mother Jean (Claude) Day and her stepmother Martha Gathercole and 2 brothers, Alan and Mike Gathercole and several aunts, uncles, many nieces and nephews, cousins and friends. Karen was predeceased by her son Trevor, father Ken, brother Bill and sister Donna. A Celebration of life for Karen Hope will be held at the Chapel Of The Sylvan Lake Funeral Home on Saturday, February 22 2014 at 2:00 P.M. Cremation entrusted to the Rocky Mountain Crematorium.
