DOUGLAS, Karleen Caverly It is with great sadness to announce the passing of our beloved daughter, sister, granddaughter, niece and friend Karleen. Karleen was born December 6, 1990 and passed away at the Red Deer Regional Hospital on January 29, 2007 at the tender age of 16. Karleen fought a long and brave battle with cancer. Karleen was predeceased by her grandfather Jim Douglas. She leaves to mourn, her father Richard, her sisters, Reagan and Alyss, her grandmother, Kay, Aunt Arran (Brent) & Uncle Jamie (Mary). As well as cousins, Kalee (Courtenay), Fallan (Dustin) & Connor. Karleen was fortunate to have very special, loving and supportive friends, Amanda, Callie and Jo. A private service was held at Parkland Funeral Home on Friday February 2, 2007 followed by a memorial at Sylvan Lake. The family wishes to thank all those who attended the memorial, sent flowers and cards. Also to those who arranged the memorial. We would also like to thank the Calgary Children's Hospital, Red Deer Regional and all the nurses and doctors who were involved in caring for Karleen. Karleen will be sadly missed. You fought a brave battle, dear Karleen, and you earned your wings.
