Kate Armstrong

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Mrs. Kate M. Armstrong of Red Deer, Alberta, she passed away peacefully from COVID-19, at Points West Living on Wednesday, December 16, 2020 at the age of 91 years.
Kate was born on January 19, 1929 in Wainwright, Alberta. She lived in Wainwright until she met her husband, Thomas Armstrong. Kate and Thomas moved to Drumheller to live on the Pope Lease farm and they had a busy life raising six children.
After raising her children she worked at the Drumheller Nursing Home for many years. They later sold the family farm and moved to Calgary, Alberta. Kate finally moved to Red Deer after losing her beloved husband, Thomas after sixty-five years of marriage.
She enjoyed spending her time and travelling when she could. Kate made many friends at the retirement home in Red Deer. Kate will be lovingly remembered by her children, Donald (Joan) Armstrong, Daniel (Rose) Armstrong, Thomas (Brenda) Armstrong, Helen (Ernie) Brunette, Mona (Randy) Luckiw, and Barb (Jerry) Curran; numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Kate was predeceased by her beloved husband of sixty-five years, Thomas; great grandchildren, Seth Robinson and Keoma Burt and her son-in-law, Peter Luckiw. Kate’s family would like to extend a special “Thank You” the care workers and staff at Points West Living for all that they did for Kate.
A very extra special “Thank You” to a special angel sitting with Kate the last few hours in her time of need. No Funeral Service will be held at Kate’s Request.
