November 5, 1964 - January 5, 2021
It is with great sadness that the family of Kathy Ward (nee Gies) announce her passing, Tuesday, January 5, 2021, in Red Deer, Alberta, at the age of 56 years.
Kathy was born in Redvers, Saskatchewan, where Kathy would spend the first 3 years of her life. She moved with her family to Stettler, Alberta, in 1968 and would grow up and attend school there until she graduated in 1982.
Kathy went on to attend the University of Alberta and SAIT in the following years before settling down in Red Deer, Alberta, in 1987. Kathy would join Nova Corporation out of Joffre, Alberta, that year and worked there until her retirement in 2020 after 33 years.
Kathy loved spending time in her garden, sewing and quilting, as well as had a talent for knitting. She had a passion for the outdoors and loved taking her dogs for walks.
Kathy will be lovingly remembered by her husband, Darren; her father Rick, her father-in-law Al, her brother Gary (nephew Jordan and niece Jayme) and brother-in-laws Darcy (Marion) and Layne (Laura) (nieces Morgan and Ayden).
She is predeceased by her mother Linda and mother-in-law Vi. She also will be fondly remembered by her many friends and relatives.
