Kees Peter Winter passed away peacefully at the Red Deer Hospice on Sunday August 16, 2020 at the age of 89 years. Kees was born on October 27, 1930 in Roodeschool, Groningen, Netherlands. Kees will be lovingly remembered by his daughters Nella (Jim) Marshall of Red Deer and Ellen (Glen) Haimila of Edmonton, grandchildren Shawn (Janessa) Marshall, Jinelle (Eric) Themig, Logan Marshall all of the Central Alberta area Ryan and Justin Haimila of Edmonton; great grandchildren Marek and Fallon Marshall, Wyatt and Archer Themig. He leaves beloved treasured family ties to the Netherlands and many friends and relatives here in Canada and the United States. Kees was predeceased by his wife Muriel Isabelle (Bauer) Winter in 2010, his parents Pieter and Cornelia "Kay" Winter-Vogelaar, his brother John (Greta) Winter. He lived a great life, he gave much, loved much and was so loved back.
A private celebration of Kees' life will be held at First Christian Reformed Church in Red Deer on Saturday September 12, 2020 at 11:00 am.
