KEIL (Knight) Sept. 25, 1910 - Oct. 24, 2008 Mrs. Goldie Bell Keil passed away peacefully at the Red Deer Regional Hospital on Friday, October 24, 2008 at the age of 98 years. Goldie was born in Custor, South Dakota. She lived a full, incredible and rich life. She was patient and kind and always had a beautiful smile for those that stopped to visit her. Goldie was noted for her determined ways. Her life was a legacy to her family and friends and she will be deeply missed. Left to cherish her beautiful life and memory is her daughter, Joyce Ferguson, her son Stewart Calkins (Agnes), her brother Orville (Eileen), her sister Beatrice (Jim) and sister-in-law Elva. Goldie is survived by numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great great-grandchildren as well as many nieces and nephews. Goldie was predeceased by her parents, Cyrus and Clara Knight, her husband(s) Louis Calkins and Charles Keil, a daughter Darlene, a grandson Randy as well as four sisters and five brothers. The family wishes to express their appreciation for all the loving care Goldie received while living at Valley Park Manor and a thank you to Dr. Robert Mulder. A celebration service for Goldie will be held Thursday, October 30, 10:00 am. at Red Deer Funeral Home, 6150 - 67th Street, Red Deer with Reverend Mary Ellen Moore officiating. Internment will follow at 3:00 pm. at Evergreen Memorial Gardens, 16102 Fort Road, Edmonton. As an expression of sympathy, donations can be made to the Arthritis Society or Stars Air Ambulance.
