KNIGHT Kenneth Leroy passed away at the Lacombe Hospital and Care Centre on September 21, 2007. He was born on July 29, 1923 in Lacombe, AB and was raised north of Tees in the Nebraska District by his parents Frank and Lilly Knight. He attended school at Nebraska. Ken joined the R.C.A.F. and served overseas in WWII. He returned to farm in the Nebraska district and married Marie Solie of Alix on October 24, 1948. They retired to Lacombe in 1992. Predeceased by a son, Edward Kenneth (Ted), his parents Frank and Lilly Knight, two brothers Ted and Clare and son-in-law Bob, he will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 59 years Marie of Lacombe, AB, his daughters Norma Short of Lacombe, Sandy (Ken) Germain of Edmonton, Gail (Dale) Gray of Lacombe, grandchildren Jill (Daron) Jeglum, Sara (Aaron) Graves, Amy (Matt) Keller, Michael (Carli-Ann) Germain, Karyn Germain, Cara (Dave) Mottus, J.C. (Jamie) Gray, Sheila Forsyth, Carmen Forsyth, great grandchildren Annika, Katelyn, Autumn, Ella, Brady, Carson, Carli and Kadence, siblings Reg (Berneice) Knight, Eileen (Warren) Berry, Wilfred (Phyllis) Knight, Lyall (Linda) Knight, Bill (Gloria) Knight, Sharon (Ron) Sim and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held from Wilson’s Funeral Chapel Lacombe on Monday September 24th, 2007 at 2:00 p.m. If friends desire memorial contributions may be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation #101, 5208 - 53 Ave., Red Deer, AB T4N 5K2.
