Ken Brown passed away peacefully at the age of 91 on Sunday, Sept. 10 2017 at Timberstone Mews in Red Deer.
He was a gentle, caring, generous man who always put his wife and family first. Ken was very easy going and was liked by everyone he met. He had a lifelong passion for trains and worked for CPRail for 43 years. He had a number of interests, which included extensive volunteering for St John Ambulance, CASARA, and Kerry Wood Nature Centre. Ken enjoyed traveling, especially his trips to Egypt, China, Turkey and Greece.
Ken will be particularly missed by his wife of 68 years, Sylvia; daughter Sherry, son Kevin, son-in-law Doug, grandchildren Shaun and Dawn-Marie and great grandchildren Caelan, Hailey and Jacob, and his nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
The family would like to express their gratitude to the staff at Timberstone Mews for the care and compassion shown to Ken during his last days.
