It is with heavy hearts but a profound sense of peace that we announce the passing of Ken. His difficult and prolonged journey with cancer has ended and he is in the loving arms of his family that have been waiting to welcome him. Ken leaves to mourn his passing his loving wife of 55 years, Audrey Green (Raugust) of Penhold, AB. He will also be lovingly remembered by his children, Bernadine (Ivan) Kenzle, Donna Fitzpatrick and Robert Green; his grandchildren Jessica (Brad) and their children Ethan, Turner and Kassidy, Monica and son Elliot, Ken (Vicky), Jonathan (Laura) and their son Edward, Greg and Joshua; his remaining siblings Helen Foster, Rynard Green and Glen (Norma) Green as well as numerous other relatives. Dad worked many jobs and places over the years (all trucking related) and finished his career with a 25 years stint at Border Paving in Red Deer. Dad was an avid fisherman and he and Mom spent many weekends at the Brazeau Dam keeping us supplied with jackfish that we thoroughly enjoyed. Though Dad had to give up fishing we were still able to get him out camping until this season. Although Dad will be missed he will always be in our hearts and we believe that he will still be looking out for us. Go in peace and with our blessing Dad. A memorial tea in Dad's honor will be held on Saturday, September 6, 2014 at 1:00 pm at the Penhold Memorial Hall (1123 Flemming Ave.) All are welcome to come and share a memory with us. In lieu of flowers, donations in Dad's honor may be made to the Red Deer Hospice Society (99 Arnot Ave., Red Deer AB., T4R 3S6) and would be gratefully accepted.
