May 2, 1975 - December 25, 2018
It is with heavy hearts we announce the peaceful passing of our beloved son, father, brother and friend Kent 'Bomber' Baumbach, on Tuesday, December 25, 2018 at the age of 43 years.

Kent was born in Red Deer, Alberta on May 2, 1975, to Rob and Sheila (nee Stickney) Baumbach. Kent attended Lindsay Thurber Comprehensive High School and graduated in 1994.

He grew up enjoying many sports, none more than hockey and baseball. Some of Kent's Athletic highlights include: playing for the Fort McMurray Oil Barons of the Alberta Junior Hockey League, Red Deer College Kings, and Anchorage Aces of the West Coast Hockey League.

Kent also had a passion for baseball, playing Minor Ball in Red Deer from Little League to Senior A. In 1992,

Kent was successful in making the final selection for Alberta's Provincial Youth Team, that would play in a tournament from which the National Youth Team would be selected to represent Canada in the World Youth Championship in Mexico. In 2004, Kent attained his Paramedic Licence and then joined the City of Red Deer Emergency Services in 2007, where he worked as a FireMedic.

Kent was compassionate, professional and selfless, when it came to protecting and caring for his patients. Kent's greatest joy in life was his two children. He would would have done just about anything for them. Kent brought out the best in people with his infectious laugh, and his compassion for those around him.

We invite all who knew Kent to come celebrate his life and share in the memories of such a wonderful father, son, brother and friend.

Kent will be lovingly remembered by his daughter, Taylor and his son, Carson.

He will also be sadly missed by his twin brother, Kelly and his older brother, Jason; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
