Kerry David Bryce Jackson

1953-2021 ~ Surrounded by his family, Kerry passed away peacefully on July 13, 2021, after a brave battle with cancer.
Kerry leaves behind his wife Violet Jackson (formerly Stadnyk) of Blackfalds, AB, daughter Charlotte (Calgary, AB), son Shawn and wife Alanna (Blackfalds, AB) and daughter Laura and husband Bryce (Cochrane, AB). His absence will be strongly felt by his seven grandchildren especially during times spent at the family cabin in Saskatchewan.
Kerry is predeceased by his parents Bernice (2015) and Leo (1971). His siblings Calvin (Jill), Wayne (Ilona), Darlene (Dan), Elaine, and Arne (Diana) and numerous nieces and nephews will miss all the childhood stories recalled in incredible detail.
Kerry and Vi were married on one of the coldest winter days on record in February 1974. They began their married life in Saskatchewan where they started their family and moved to central Alberta in 1977.
It was Kerry's lifelong dream to own his own business and persevering during many challenging cycles in the energy industry, K&W Machine Ltd has been proudly passed to his son Shawn after 44 years in business.
Kerry's love of a challenge and forever having a project on the go, was never going to see him fully retire. However, in semi-retirement Vi and Kerry found a love of travel taking them many times to Hawaii, Europe, and the Cook Islands, but most fondly remembered is their annual fishing trip each June to northern Saskatchewan. In one of his last adventures he lived his childhood dream of racing cars out at Area 27 in Oliver, BC.

A Celebration of Life for Kerry will be held at Wilson's Funeral Chapel, Lacombe on Saturday, July 24, 2021, at 1:00 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial contribution may be made through the Alberta Cancer Foundation https://www.albertacancer.ca/donate/ with funds directed to the Alberta Radiosurgery Centre of the Tom Baker Cancer Clinic.
