KOSKI October 28, 2005 Wilfred Koski, of Eckville, passed away peacefully on October 28, 2005 in the Red Deer Regional Hospital at the age of 82. Wilf spent all his working life as an independent trucker hauling gravel, asphalt, grain, livestock and logs throughout central Alberta. Beginning with single axle trucks in the 1940’s he owned several different models up to the 1980’s. His trucks were always well maintained and ready for work. He married Elsie (Kangas) on October 21, 1955. They often worked together at winter logging camps and at summer road work camps. He was an avid fisherman and spent many happy hours with friends fishing at Sylvan Lake. Wilf was predeceased by his wife, Elsie (2002), his sister Ellen (1994), his parents, Hilda (1969) and John Koski (1964). He will be sadly missed by 9 nieces and nephews and their families, special friends Bernie and Rose Lahti and family, Roy and Eileen Darling, Marg Elder and many other friends and extended family members. At Wilf’s request, no memorial service will be held. Cremation entrusted to Eventide Funeral Chapels, Red Deer. If desired, memorial donations in Wilf’s honor may be mailed directly to The Eckville Manor, or to a charity of the donor’s choice.
