MAH

1928 - 2009

It is with great sadness that the family of Mr. Kwong Yick "Jack" Mah announces his peaceful and willing passing, with gentle dignity into the arms of God. Jack was born in Canton, China on August 18th, 1928. Jack's significant interests and great strengths were his children, his extended family and his contributions to the community. All his children and their achievements were sources of great pride and happiness to him. Jack enjoyed an active life full of games, sports, hobbies and his business commitments. He loved fishing with family and friends, raising tropical fish, gardening, watching basketball, football and more specifically enjoyed witnessing the Olympic Games in China. Whether he was called dad, uncle, grandpa or just plan Jack, he would extend a helping hand to all and rise to the occasion. It was not his professional acumen that meant the most to Jack but the simple pleasures and joys in life that he cherished the most and celebrated. He embraced everyone of his six grandchildren and felt truly successful with the continuous lineage of his heritage. He will be missed by all who had the good fortune to have known him. His wife, Carol, daughter, Jeannie (Larry), sons ,Tom, Sam, Henry, and Daniel, his grandchildren, Cameron, Lisa, Kim, Justin, John and Sabrina, along with his many nephews, great nephew and nieces, as well as cousins will truly always remember him in their hearts. "Go in peace dad". A celebration of Jack's life will be held at Eventide Funeral Chapel, 4820 - 45th Street, Red Deer, Alberta on Friday, November 13th, 2009 at 2:00 p.m. A private interment will be held at Alto Reste Cemetery, Red Deer, Alberta. The family is grateful for the wonderful care and attention extended to Jack during his stay at the Red Deer Hospice by the staff and volunteers, by Dr. Peter Mah, Pastor John King of the Deer Park Alliance Church and his many friends.
