They settled in Spruce View and began their family. Jean helped Garry in their construction business, but her main passions were decorating and entertaining. She loved company and making people feel welcome in her home. For many years while they lived on the farm at Spruce View Jean taught ceramics which was only one of Jean's many talents as she also loved to sew, craft, scrapbook and obviously gardening as her flowers were always the best in the neighbourhood. But most of all Jean loved being a Mother and was able to be home with her children while they were growing up. Jean also loved to travel and enjoyed many holidays with great friends. No one has ever enjoyed Holidays more than Jean. This was very evident upon entering her home at Christmas. She loved every hour spent planning, shopping, and decorating, turning her home into a Magical place. Jean's grandchildren certainly completed her circle of love. Each and every grandchild has a special place in her heart. Nana always would greet each one with warm hugs and lipstick kisses. Her spirit and love for life will live on in each and everyone that Jean has touched.
