GORDON

Larry Keith

Larry, born August 22, 1952, passed away suddenly at the Red Deer Regional Hospital on Tuesday, January 28, 2014. Larry will be sadly missed and remembered by his wife of 22 years, Dawn; five daughters, Rebecca Gordon (Jesse), Randi Gordon, Shaina Gordon, Angela Cyr and Terri (Kevin); older brother, Ernie Gordon; four grandchildren, Darian Cyr, Avery Cyr, Charlie Janzen and Wyatt Plunkett; as well as many friends and in-laws across the country. Larry was a highly skilled welder for the majority of his life. He was also a ball player, hunter and quadder. He loved camping and cooking, which he was well known for - making a mean batch of chicken wings out by the fire. Above all, Larry enjoyed his time best by sitting around a fire at the acreage, with always that familiar sound of John Fogerty playing in the background, surrounded by his friends, family and anyone else that popped in. A Memorial service will be held on Wednesday, February 5, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. at Red Deer Funeral Home, 6150 - 67 Street, Red Deer, Alberta. Following the service, a time of fellowship with the family will be held at the Quality Inn, 7150 - 50 Avenue, Red Deer. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Larry's honor may be made directly to the Canadian Diabetes Association, Suite 6, 5015 - 48 Street, Red Deer, AB T4N 1S9.
