SAMBROOK, Laura Laura Margaret Sambrook passed away peacefully, with family by her side on January 5, 2006. Laura was born April 4, 1919 in Bentley, Alberta. Laura was predeceased by her husband, Julien Sambrook, her parents Grover and Lily Robson and brother Alan Robson. Laura is survived by her brother Russell (Joyce) Robson of Rimbey, son Roly(Brenda) of Olds, son Bill of Calgary an grandson Jason (Corrie) & great grandson Triston of Sundre, numerous nieces and nephews, and special friend Sharon. Laura was raised on a farm in Bentley Lockhart area. Laura and Julien were married in 1941, and farmed in the Eckville area, until Julien suffered form polio. They moved to the town of Eckville, where Laura worked at the school for many years as a librarian, then a secretary. Laura loved music and played every Sunday at the Presbyterian Church. Laura loved the outdoors, gardening, bird watching, she especially loved flowers, she loved to crochet and knit and read. All that knew her will miss her dearly, she was a very warm and kind person that touched the lives of many. Donations can be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation. There will be no service until a later date provided by Wilson's Funeral Chapel Rimbey.
