Laural Grimes beloved wife of Gary Grimes passed away suddenly at home on Tuesday Morning, Oct 30, 2018. Laural was born in Trochu Alberta, and raised on the family farm in the Delburne district. After high school graduation she attended Alberta Bible College. She went on to complete a Library Technician course at SAIT. In 1987 she began work at The Red Deer Public Library, where she focused on children and encouraged a generation to love books, where she became known as "The more we get together lady". During her time there she also authored a number of children's books. She retired in 2016, but was diagnosed with ALS in May of this year.

She was predeceased by her parents Dick and Mary Randall.

Laural is survived by her husband Gary. Two sons, Karl Chvojka of Toronto and Scott Chvojka of Red Deer and loving daughter, Kelsey Chvojka serving with Youth With A Mission (YWAM). Also the father of her children, Delvin Chvojka of Westlock. Along with close family friends Jodi Landry, Rachelle McComb, and the Effert family.

An informal celebration of her life will be held on Friday, Nov 9th at 2:00pm at Deer Park Alliance Church (30 Ave & 39 St).
