LAVERICK Mrs. Darlene Laverick (nee Lewis) of Calgary passed away peacefully on May 30, 2006 at the age of 48 years after fighting a courageous and dignified battle with pancreatic cancer. Darlene is survived by her loving husband Jim Laverick; her stepchildren Dayna (Jeff) Rath, Chad (Vicky) Laverick and Jesse (Kristy) Laverick and one granddaughter Isabella Laverick all of Calgary; her parents Roy and Estella Graham; brother Bill (Barb) and sister Diane (Larry Lehrman) all of Innisfail; brothers-in-law Keith Laverick (Darlene) of Stony Plain, Jack Laverick (Maureen) of Red Deer, Bud Laverick (Sharon) of Grande Prairie; her mother-in-law Marguerite Laverick of Grande Prairie and many special nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her father Ed Lewis in 1967, brother Kevin in 1975 and brother Steven in 2002. Funeral services will be held on Friday, June 2, 2006 at 11:00 am at the Innisfail United Church (4720 48th Ave) with interment to follow at the Innisfail Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the Tom Baker Cancer Centre, 1331 29th Street NW, Calgary, AB. T4N 4N2 or to a charity of one’s choice.
