GREELEY Lena "Jane" Greeley of Red Deer passed away on Tuesday, October 16, 2007 at the age of 72. Jane was born July 27, 1935 at Montreal, Quebec. She was the daughter of Louis and Anne Safford. Jane is survived by her daughters; Patty (Joe) Soveaux of Red Deer, Carolyn Holmes (Paul Coad) of Red Deer, Julie (Darcy) Ludwig of Red Deer, grandchildren; Amanda, Kelsy, Kelby, Christopher, Courtney, Ashley and Stephanie, a great grandchild, Alana, a brother, Bud (Judy) Safford of Montreal. Jane grew up in Sutton, Quebec and married Bernard in 1956. In 1978 Jane and her family moved to Red Deer. Jane found great pleasure spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She was always working on a home project. Renovating was her favorite pastime. She also loved knitting, reading, camping, volunteering at the Golden Circle, as well as watching car racing. Jane had a great love for animals especially her dog. A Memorial Service will be held in Sutton, Quebec at a later date. A gathering of friends and family to celebrate Jane's life will be held on October 21, 2007 between 1:00 and 4:00 p.m. at 16 Payne Close, Red Deer.
