CZERNIAK Leonard August 13, 1930 – November 7, 2008 It is with sadness that the family of Leonard Czerniak announce his passing. Leonard slipped quietly and peacefully into the arms of Jesus with his family by his side November 7, 2008. Leonard is survived by his son, Wayne (Noreen) and their children, Cole, Tyler, Steven, and Landon; son, Dale (Cori) and their children, Joshua and Mathew; and son, David; nine siblings, Mary Mantyka, Mike Czerniak, Rose (Jim) Keogan, Sophie Proteau, John (Nola) Czerniak, Lydia (Sylvester) Gulansky, Paul (Dorothy) Czerniak, Carolyn (Peter) Gustar, Dennis (Debbie) Czerniak; and numerous nieces and nephews. He is pre deceased by his father, Nicholas; mother, Hasia; brother, Bill Czernaik; brothers-in-law, Nick Mantyka and Mel Proteau; and one nephew, Richard Cowper. A Prayer Service for Leonard Czerniak will be held at the Rocky Funeral Home, 4804-48 Street, Rocky Mountain House, AB, on Friday, November 14, 2008 at 7:00 p.m. Funeral Mass will be held at St. Vladimir Ukrainian Catholic Church, 3932-46 Street, Red Deer, AB, on Saturday, November 15, 2008 at 10:00 a.m. Dance as if no one is watching, Love as if you have never been hurt. Sing as if no one can hear you, Live as though Heaven is on Earth. As an expression of sympathy, memorial contributions in Leonard’s memory may be made to the Rocky Mountain House Hospital and Care Centre, Palliative Care Unit.
