HARMON Lillian (Babe) Aug. 14, 1916 - Sept. 24, 2008 Lillian Martha Harmon of Lacombe, Alberta was born August 14, 1916 in Lacombe, Alberta. Lillian passed away peacefully September 24, 2008 in Lacombe, Alberta at the age of 92 years. She is survived by one daughter Joyce (Lawrence) Paull of Bentley, Alberta; two sons Gordon (Lee) Harmon of Vancouver B.C. and Douglas (Karen) Harmon of Sherwood Park, Alberta, one grandson Brian of New South Wales, Australia; four grand daughters Cassandra and Tanya of Vancouver, B.C, Shelley of Sherwood Park, Alberta and Tammy of Calgary, Alberta. Lillian is also survived by seven great grand children Rhys, Dylan, Kyle, Jonathan, Cody, Courtney and Kennedy. Lillian is also survived by five sisters Kay, Gert, Vena, Jean and Barbara plus numerous nieces and nephews. Lillian was predeceased by her husband Harold December 2, 2006 and also predeceased by her parents Fred and Margaret Moore, half sister Mrytle, half sister Alberta, half brother Frank, sisters Margaret, Dorothy, Laverne and also predeceased by her brother James. Lillian was born and received all her schooling in Lacombe, Alberta. She married Harold Harmon in October 18,1938. After marriage they lived and worked in the Lacombe area, then they rented a farm and moved to the Iola district and in 1943 they bought a farm in the Forshee district where they farmed and raised their family. In 1977 they retired and moved to Bentley, Alberta and lived there until 2006. They then moved into the Sylvan Lake Lodge and after Harold's passing she continued to live there for two years until her health started to fail. She then moved into the Lacombe Hospital Care Facility and lived until her passing. Babe was a long time member in the Forshee ladies club, was a member of the Royal Purple Lodge for many years and was very active member of the Bentley Curling Club and the community. Funeral services will be held on Monday September 29, 2008 at 1:00 PM at the Bentley Community Church with Rev Greg Rathjen officiating. Interment to follow in the Bentley Cemetery. If desired, memorial contributions may be made to a charity of one's choice.
