Lillian STEPHENSON

July 12, 2007

STEPHENSON Lillian It is with great sadness we say goodbye to our cherished Mom, Lillian, who passed away, her two daughters at her side, on June 13, 2007, just weeks before her 95th birthday. Her three years of infirmity were borne with quiet dignity and courage, and as she had lived all her life with grace, faith, a deep love of family and friends, a love of nature and interest in all around her. Lillian was born in Calgary, Alberta on September 5, 1912, and was pre-deceased by her husband of 65 years, Bob, in Dec. 2004; and by 4 sisters and two brothers. She is survived by daughters, Catherine Hill (Jack) of Parksville, Barbara Joseleau (Jean-Paul) of Grenoble, France, grand- daughter, Alexandra Gasparini (Philippe), and great granddaughter, Celia, of France, and sister-in-law, Lee Haddow, of Edmonton, as well as many nieces and nephews. Mom will be remembered for her gentle, gracious manner and her courageous spirit. Her goodness touched all who knew her. Her family wishes to thank the staff at Berwick, Nanaimo, whose love, compassion, and support for three years was a great comfort, and at Trillium, Parksville, for the past few months; also Drs. E. Cancade and J. Atherstone for their understanding and care. "Do not stand at my grave and weep I am not there; I do not sleep I am the starshine, in the night I am the ode, of birds that sing I am in every lovely thing"
