Linda Ann Redel

After a long battle with cancer, Linda Ann Redel, age 65 died on Thursday, May 11, 2017 at home in Calgary. Linda was pre-deceased by her parents, Norman and Katherine Magee. She was born in New Market, Ontario June 2, 1951. Her family moved frequently with her father's business success living in Burlington, London, Winnipeg, Regina and Red Deer where she completed high school two years early. Linda attended Olds College receiving a Business Education diploma and worked at the University of Alberta (Edmonton) in the law library, and had a family in St. Albert. She eventually made her way back to Red Deer working for Nova Chemicals and finally settled in Calgary where she ended her working career at Agrium. Wherever she lived she was known for her humour, tenacity and generous spirit. Linda kept busy playing bridge with St. Peter's Anglican bridge group and much to her grandchildren's delight, writing children's stories. She will be missed greatly by her community and family. Linda is survived by her brothers; Paul Magee and Wayne Magee by her children; Nicole and Nicholas Roe, Christopher Redel and Rebecca Randall; and her grand-children; Jake Roe, Russell Masterson, Kade Masterson, Aidan Milne, Caleb Milne and Levi Redel.
